My password is not working or I lost my password, what do I do?

Your username is the email address you used to either order or create an account. The reset will prompt your instructions with an email verification to reset your password to something new. Then return to login and enter your new password when prompted for sign in.

Where are Dakota 283 Products manufactured?

Virtually all of the products made by Dakota283 are produced in Lake City, PA which is very close to Erie, PA.  Some of our components are imported. If you have a question about a specific product, check the product page on our site for more information.

What are Dakota 283 products made of?

We make nearly all of our own products using LLDPE or Polyethylene. Some of our accessory items are made of metal or other organic materials. If you have a question about a specific product, check the product page on our site for more information.

Is there BPA (Bisphenol A) in any of your plastic products?

No. None of the parts that Good Ideas produces contains BPA.

What is the warranty for Dakota 283 kennels?

Dedicated to providing you with quality products and service, Dakota 283 offers a limited Lifetime Warranty on all kennels. All kennel warranties will only apply to those kennels purchased directly from our website, authorized Dakota 283 dealers, or online and retail stores. Dakota 283 strives to create products free of defects in manufacturing and materials. Workmanship and quality are consistently reviewed and evaluated to ensure customer satisfaction.
Dakota 283 acknowledges that some dogs should not be crated. We do not guarantee the containment of overly aggressive dogs.

Owners wishing to submit a warranty claim must provide proof of purchase. Warranties will only apply to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
Excluded from warranty coverage and at the discretion of Dakota 283:

• Damage from using corrosive or improper cleaning solutions or chemicals
• Normal usage, wear and tear to include scratches, paint chips, minimal warping
• Intentional damage, abuse or misuse of the kennel.
• Damage from falls due to carelessness or lack of tie downs
• Chewing on any area of the kennel, to include all edges, vent holes and door seams
• Modification of the kennel or installation of unapproved accessories
• Damage as result of an accident
• Loss of a component

Dakota 283 does not recommend “over tightening” of rachet straps and tiedowns. Excessive force can cause damage.

To complete warranty approval, videos and/or photos may be required. And Dakota 283, a Brand of Tank Holding is not responsible for any punitive or exemplary damages, loss of revenue, profits or other compensation due to the misuse, modification, or malfunction of the kennels.

Dakota 283 Management reserves the right to make all warranty and final decisions. This statement constitutes Dakota 283’s entire warranty with respect to the aforesaid product.

DAKOTA 283 MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT AS SET FORTH HEREIN. THERE IS NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Dakota 283 Return Policy

Dakota 283’s products can be returned utilizing the following guidelines provided the claim is authorized based on the warranty above. The original purchaser will need to contact Dakota 283 and provided the claim is approved receive a return authorization number. Once this number has been given additional shipping information will be provided. Dakota 283 can be contacted at 1-866-595-IDEA (4332) or by sending e-mail to customerservice@goodideasinc.com. Returns outside of the warranty may be processed at the buyer’s expense.

What is the warranty for other Dakota 283 products?

Most products made by Dakota 283 have a 1-year limited manufacturer’s warranty on parts and labor, other than kennels, which have a lifetime limited manufacturer’s warranty (see previous FAQ). Dakota 283 products are exceptionally durable and with proper care will provide many years of use for you and your pet.  The Dakota 283 product warranty does not cover items not purchased from our website or an authorized Dakota 283 dealer, damage caused by abuse or alteration of the product, not using the product as intended, improper installation, wear and tear, and chewing or damage caused by your pet.  Knowing your pet’s personality, crate training, and properly supervising your pet while using our products will ensure your Dakota 283 product will last and provide years of Unparalleled Pet Protection.
