What gets you pumped up every day about what you do?
Seeing a dog progress, exceed expectations, and seeing the results shine through in hunting scenarios and test situations.
Tell us more about what you do (routines you have, challenges you face or problems you solve, etc.
My wife and I train dogs for hunt tests, basic obedience, gun dogs training, etc. we train our two Labs ourselves and train the occasional dog for a client. We both work a full-time job, but train almost daily.
What goals have you not accomplished?
Currently we are working to complete seasoned and finished HRC titles and titling a client dog in the started stake.
The ultimate goal for us is to enter and pass an HRC Grand Test.
What keeps you up at night in pursuit of your goals?
Developing ways to progress dogs to the level of a Grand HRC dog.
What do you love most about the Dakota 283 products?
Their versatility. We use the Kennebec kennels to travel very frequently with our dogs. We have an older model, but they’re easily taken in and out of hotels, homes, etc. We also use the vaults. They’re easy to remove from our truck and are great when traveling to hunt. They secure our gear and keep it safe just as our dogs are in the kennels. The vaults free up room for passengers (clients) in the cab of the truck and our gear isn’t sliding around in the back of the cab.
